Big Ideas

 

- They are in World War II. Germany started the war because they wanted to exterminate a bunch of races that they believed were inferior.

 

- In this World War some of the targets were Jews,democrats, gypsies and social democrats.  Hitler, the head of the Nazis, a group extremely racist, had enough power to exterminate a whole race.

 

-There's a man, Ellie who lives in Sighet, is forced to move to a Ghetto, a place were Germanies placed the Jews before taking them to concentration camps.

 

-He needs to deal with all the difficulties that are in  that place such as

            *adaptation, he needs to get used to the way things are there.

           *family break up, when he is forced to go to the Ghetto, and his dad is taken away for a  couple hours.

          *discrimination, all Jews were judged by Germans.
